Professional Driver

Assist providers with patient care skillfully and safely in accordance with PMT’s policies and procedures along with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The Driver is to be competent, effectively interact with the patient and family, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional care.
 
Work in collaboration with Providers, Nurses, Paramedics, EMT’s, and other patient care staff, to assist providers with responsible care of the sick and injured.
 
Assist providers when direct to with patient treatments per protocol.
 
Treat patients and their family with concern and empathy, respect their confidentiality and privacy.
 
Operate emergency vehicles within the policies set forth by PMT. Maintain your vehicle and equipment at all times. Conduct vehicle checks and maintain maintenance/repairs as needed for safe operation of all emergency vehicles.
 
All drivers must maintain a State of Nebraska driver’s license and the following certifications: CPR. Driver’s must attend all mandatory training provided by PMT.
 
Physical Requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; while stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, pushing and pulling with frequent standing and walking. Ability to withstand long transport times beyond four hours.
