Certified Billing Specialist

Priority Medical Transport, Inc. is an interfacility transport company with six locations across Nebraska, we are seeking a Certified Medical Billing Specialist who is detail oriented, self-motivated, enjoys working as an individual but also with a team in a fast- paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ambulance medical billing, with the skills necessary to follow billing procedures, have a CAC certification or have the ability to obtain certification within the probationary period. The successful applicant will be responsible for the full billing cycle, including accounts receivable, to ensure prompt and accurate billing.

Responsibilities and Duties
*Post medical charges into billing software to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals
*Claims management and evaluation of payments, denials and appeals
*Various billing and collections roles to ensure accurate and timely claim processing

*Ensure all outstanding bills are collected
*Confirm patient benefits and insurance
*Follow-up on late or missed payments, organize collection accounts
*Be an advocate for the patients assisting with EOB’s, payments, denials, appeals and provide resolutions
*Manage patient information and documentation of each step in the billing process
*Structure reports on a regular basis
*Qualifications and Skills
*Previous Ambulance and/or Medical Billing experience (CAC Certification preferred)
*Familiarity with Apple Computers
*High School Diploma or GED
*Possess knowledge of billing software
*Ability to communicate and work effectively
